Nouvel Air Skydiving
Our latest news
Big ways, good times, and memorable moments
24th of August, 2009
We had so much fun on this warm and sunny Sunday!
Daniel organized a good number of big way loads, which certainly made it interesting for all of us! Briefing, ground practice, some more practice, debriefing... over and over again!
Thanks to all of those who visited us for the occasion. It was a great team effort. We'll do our very best to try and do this again before the season ends, if time and schedule permit... so stay tuned! |

Feeling hot hot hot!
18th of August, 2009
There is absolutely no chance that any of us will complain about the wonderful weather we've been having lately.
We have truly enjoyed the sunshine and the recent heatwave here at Nouvel Air. There is nothing more refreshing than an air bath, in freefall, at 200 kph, to beat the heat!
We would like to thank all of you for visiting us this last week-end... so many new faces! We managed to fill no less than 59 lifts while welcoming more than 300 new tandem students -- in just 3 days! Wow! Thank you! |

We couldn't have hoped for better weather conditions for our night jumps!
9th of August, 2009
Mother Nature: thank you for giving us this wonderful moonshine, these light to non-existant winds, and a superbly clear sky ! Of course, a warm thanks also goes out to all those who've joined us and made this experience so memorable!
We managed to get 2 Twin Otter loads up... not bad! We had a nicely oiled machine going, with tons of light at the landing area thanks to the numerous cars parked along its side. Not to mention the great crew on the ground in constant contact with the folks in the aircraft as to coordinate jump runs and oversee the safety of all involved. What a great team!
Needless to say, we would have very much liked to share some pictures of the event with you. But it was so dark none of the shots turned out to be that great in the end. And we thought it best to avoid using our flashes to capture some nice landing, in an effort not to blind our jumpers while they were on final approach :-)
Will we do it again next year? No doubt about it!! |

What an amazing Christmas feast we had!
26th of July, 2009
Still can't believe how much food we've ingested! Hats off to Nathalie for being so efficient in organising the event and for giving us this opportunity to eat like total pigs! And the dessert.... mmmmmmmmmm... drooling just thinking about it!
We also had some good laughs, and laughed really hard too! Our gift exchange was not only original but also quite comical! Some of us are now proud owners of a few odd objects that are sometimes practical, sometimes edible, sometimes entirely useless, but always, always interesting! |

Normande reaches 100... jumps, that is!
24th of July, 2009
A big round of applause for Normande who recently made her 100th skydive. We organised a nice formation to celebrate the moment with her!
There's a great example of perseverance and source of motivation for many of us!
Looking forward to the 200th milestone for the next celebration! |

Congrats to our national champions, now ranking at number 5 worldwide, taking the spot away from the Norway team by only 6 points!
A great source of motivation for their training jumps to follow in the upcoming days, in preparation for the Canadian Nationals held at Skydive Burnaby starting August 3rd. |

Summer is finally here!
20th of July, 2009
This time it's true... summer has finally arrived with the start of the construction holiday! We all deserve a little sunshine and today, Mother Nature seems to be agreeing with us!
Timing is perfect... there couldn't be a better time to come and get some fresh air with us at 13,500 feet! We hope to see you soon...
Until then, let's all sing along together to this famous Pierre Lalonde tune! |

Team Evolution in Taiwan
15th of July, 2009
Team Evolution is currently in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, for the World Games 2009. Evolution is representing Canada in 4-Way Formation Skydiving. Michel Lemay, Martin Lemay, Vincent Lemay, Benoit Lemay and Daniel Paquette are enjoying the Asian heat and humidity while we're freezing our butts off here in Quebec!
It's a great honor for the team, as invitations for participating in the World Games are only extended to a select few. Which speaks for itself in terms of our national team's true talent! |
|
Evolution will be competing in 4-Way Formation Skydiving against rival teams from France, the United Stated, Russia, Belgium and Norway. Final rounds are scheduled to take place on Tuesday, July 21st... best of luck to you guys and we're sending positive vibes your way!
